French Open Women's 2025 Prediction: Three Betting Tips at Roland Garros

The second Grand Slam tournament of the year, the French Open, starts in Paris on Sunday and for the first time in years, Iga Swiatek is not the market leader for the clay-court major.
Swiatek, winner of four of the last five French Opens, has been struggling with her game and so the oddsmakers have installed Aryna Sabalenka as favourite.
In-form duo Coco Gauff and Mirra Andreeva are next in the betting and then it’s 14/1 bar those four.

Gauff came unstuck in big finals in Madrid and Rome, to Sabalenka and Jasmine Paolini respectively, and the American will hope to go one better in Paris and win her second major singles title.
But, while the Atlanta ace looks sure to contend again, there may be slightly better value to be had in backing Andreeva to lift her first Slam singles trophy.
Andreeva was superb when reaching the semi-finals of the French Open last year and the 18-year-old looks capable of at least repeating that feat one year on.
Andreeva upset Sabalenka in a thrilling quarter-final 12 months ago and the slow red terrain could afford the teenager the best chance of denying the world No.1 again.
Coach Conchita Martinez will be barking out the orders to Andreeva in the coming fortnight. The former Wimbledon champion knows all there is to know about clay-court tennis and should have some timely advice from the sidelines.
Andreeva was champion in Dubai and Indian Wells earlier this year and she could return to the winner’s circle on the Paris clay.
Sabalenka suffered another setback when losing in the Stuttgart indoor final to Jelena Ostapenko and if the Latvian is back to anywhere near her best on clay this year, she should enter the outright calculations.
Ostapenko went all the way on the Paris clay in 2017. She has since failed to live up to that brilliant performance, but on her day she is a match for any opponent.
The clay affords her a bit more time to produce accurate groundstrokes and Ostapenko could make life tough for Swiatek should they meet in the last 16.
Gauff, Australian Open champion Madison Keys and Emma Navarro dominate the fourth quarter of the draw, but the American trio may have to dig deep if one is to make the semi-finals.
Ekaterina Alexandrova is not the most fashionable of players when it comes to punting options, but the experienced 30-year-old is capable of making life tough for any opponent.
She’s 125/1 outright, yet only around a tenth of that price to reach the semi-finals, so an each-way interest can be had at the larger odds.
Alexandrova is producing arguably the best tennis of her career this year and she went all the way to the title in Linz in February.
