Chelsea are in the middle of a gripping battle for a top-5 finish, while 16th-placed Man United will be looking to avoid slipping to their 18th league defeat of the season.

With all Man Utd eyes on Wednesday’s Europa League Final against Tottenham in Bilbao, they’re unlikely to be prioritising this game and we will likely see the fringe players given another run out.

Chelsea meanwhile, will be fully motivated to continue their charge towards a top five finish to secure Champions League football and can put three points between themselves and 6th with victory on Friday night.

Chelsea’s Premier League games at Stamford Bridge this season have seen an average of 4.39 with four or more landing in 10 of their 18 games as hosts.

Across their last four games on home soil, there’s been a huge 23 offsides and throughout the season, the infringements have been equally spread between themselves and their opponents.

They play a high line under Enzo Maresca but also get caught going early plenty of times themselves and when matched up against sides who also play an aggressive defensive line, the end result is usually a high total as demonstrated by the 10 offsides against Tottenham and the six against Liverpool.

Man United’s away games are averaging 3.34 offsides but since Ruben Amorim’s arrival, that number has increased to 3.54.

There has been at least four offsides in eight of their 13 trips on their travels under his stewardship and when facing sides with high lines, the totals are again consistently high.

This bet would have landed in their visits to Spurs, Liverpool, Man City and Fulham, all of whom sit in the top seven when it comes to offsides drawn and having also landed in the reverse fixture, the line feels like one we can attack.

Under Enzo Maresca, Marc Cucurella has been given the attacking freedom to get forward as often as possible. The big-haired Spaniard has scored six goals this season and his heatmaps suggest that he’s regularly stationed inside the opposition’s box when Chelsea attack.

He’s grown into this role and has had particular success on home soil where he’s had five shots on target in his last eight starts, finding the back of the net in three of those.

Key to this bet is the expected Man Utd line-up and their lack of motivation for a fixture they could do without and as such, we’re likely to see most regular starters rested for Wednesday’s final. That coupled with a Chelsea side desperate for three points should mean it’s one-way traffic and with the Red Devils having conceded four goals in two of their last three away games, the Blues may well rack up a scoreline.

If they’re to do so, Cucurella will fancy his chances of getting involved and if United aren’t putting up much in the way of resistance, he can focus his energy on adding to his goal tally further.

Chelsea will be without Jadon Sancho - as he is on loan from Man Utd - and Nicolas Jackson following his red card last time out.

Lisandro Martinez, Joshua Zirkzee, and Diogo Dalot are all out for Man United, while Leny Yoro is a doubt.
