There are just five dancers left in the 2018 Strictly Come Dancing competition, with Stacey Dooley now odds-on favourite to claiming the sparkly glitter ball with her partner Kevin Clifton.
Dooley is now trading at 4/5 to win Strictly and that’s as short as she’s been all series, with the investigative TV reporter having shown marked improvement during her time on the show.
Strictly Come Dancing is also a popularity contest as well as a dancing one and it’s clear that Dooley has a big following although it’s still possible that Joe Sugg will command an even larger number of votes when it comes to the crunch.
Sugg is trading at 9/4 with BetVictor and the YouTube sensation is certainly not without a chance after avoiding a succession of dance-offs to suggest that he’s canvassing a large number of votes every week.
The Strictly final is certainly sure to bring voters out in their droves, with Lauren Steadman actually trading as third favourite and it’s clear that Ashley Roberts is friendless in the market.
This has happened several times before where a dancer is literally too good for what is regarded as an amateur show and her odds of 25/1 to win tell their own story despite her scoring highly every week.
Lauren is the 6/4 favourite to leave Strictly this week although it’s possible that she might avoid a dance-off which would leave Faye Tozer in the firing line.
Faye is 13/5 to go next, although Ashley can be backed at 7/4 and she seems certain to be in the dance-off for the third consecutive week despite regularly topping the leaderboard.
