Hard on the heels of the World Cup finishing, we’re looking ahead to the start of the 2018/19 Premier League starting and there isn’t too long to wait.
On Friday 10 August, Manchester United and Leicester City herald the start of the campaign when they meet at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils warm favourites to enjoy a winning start to the season.
There are an abundance of televised games to kick things off, with Newcastle clashing with Tottenham on Saturday lunchtime before a Saturday teatime game between Wolves and Everton.
On Sunday, we have a treat of an afternoon with Liverpool meeting West Ham and this is a chance for Mohamed Salah to hit the ground running. Meanwhile, Arsenal clash with Manchester City later in the day.
This match will see Unai Emery take charge of the Gunners for the first time and will go up against compatriot Pep Guardiola, with the latter having enjoyed a soaraway Premier League title last term.
