Premier League fixtures and betting tips – Wednesday 5 December

There are six Premier League clashes taking place on Wednesday, with Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham in action

Burnley 19:45 Liverpool
This looks like a straightforward win for a Liverpool side who left it late to land a fluky winner in the Merseyside derby. The Reds defence is shining brighter than the attack and they should overcome a Burnley side who are showing their limitations.

Everton 19:45 Newcastle United
The Everton defence more than held their own against Liverpool on Sunday, with Yerry Mina and Lucas Digne particularly outstanding and we think they can snuff out Newcastle on Wednesday.

Richarlison should be able to sniff out a few chances and this is clearly a Toffees team going places, with Newcastle dusting themselves down after losing 3-0 at home to West Ham.

Fulham 19:45 Leicester City
Fulham clash with Leicester and we can see Claudio Ranieri landing a point against a side whom he previously steered to an unlikely title triumph.

The Cottagers were full of attacking invention when beating Southampton 3-2 although Leicester come into the game after a 2-0 win over Watford and this should be close.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 19:45 Chelsea
Chelsea are odds-on favourites to win at Molineux, although we think Wanderers are capable of getting a point considering they have held Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal this term.

Wolves should make life tough for a Chelsea side who are more pragmatic than their manager might suggest, with Jorginho and N’Golo Kante looking to battle it out in the engine room.

Manchester United 20:00 Arsenal
We’re pleased to see Arsenal trading at such a big price at Old Trafford on Wednesday, with the Gunners fresh from a 4-2 north London derby win over Tottenham where they played some sublime football.

Manchester United are all at sea right now and Jose Mourinho continues to dismay his squad of players who will privately be glad to see the back of someone who is now all about protecting his legacy.

Tottenham Hotspur 20:00 Southampton
Spurs were left licking their wounds after a north London derby hammering although they’ll be up against a manager-less Southampton side who will look to keep things tight and make Tottenham work for their victory.
