X Factor 2018 betting odds – Dalton Harris hot favourite to win

Dalton Harris now 11/10 to win 2018 series of X Factor after wowing the judges last week

We’re down to ten remaining acts in the X Factor, although the bookmakers don’t think there are too many who actually have a chance of winning and getting an opportunity to record a Christmas number one.

Only four acts in the 2018 series of the X Factor are trading at single figure odds, with Dalton Harris the front runner and the popular singer is now 11/10 with William Hill after gathering a big fanbase over the past few weeks.

The Jamaican blew the crowd away with his version of Radiohead’s “Creep”, with Harris reaching number 34 in the iTunes Top 100 chart as a result and he looks like a worthy favourite to win in the X Factor betting odds.

Simon Cowell has been particularly impressed by a singer who could launch himself a massive solo career, with the music mogul taken by the sheer consistency of performance.

“Dalton, you are literally killing it every week. I mean you were amazing week 1, week 2 — this is probably the best you’ve sounded so far. And I was thinking while I was watching this, it was almost like maybe you needed this platform but, trust me, we needed you on the show because this is what it’s all about… I mean stunning. That was stunning,” said Cowell.

However, there are several weeks to go and there Harris faces some stiff competition, especially in the form of Shan who is currently trading at 10/3 with BetVictor and also looks like a potential finalist in the making.

Shan Ako was the other X Factor contestant to make it into the Top 100 chart this week after performing “Sound of Silence” by Simon and Garfunkel, with Shan squeezing in at 98.

Anthony Russell and Scarlett Lee come next in the betting and they stand a lively outside chance after impressing the judges with various renditions.

Russell has the backing of the city of Liverpool and was clearly affected by the sound issues in the most recent live show, although he’s a 7/1 chance to emerge as the champion and will clearly garner votes from his home city.

Meanwhile, Lee is only 21 and someone who is seen as an important role model for young females, with Ladbrokes going 8/1 about a performer who has been receiving coaching tips from Little Mix.
