And then there were nine. Doctor Ranj was a highly popular member of the Strictly cast for 2018, although the CBeebies presenter came a cropper in a dance off with Charles and now there are just a handful of celebrity dancers left in the competition.
According to the Strictly Come Dancing odds, there are no more than four celebrities who can win Strictly Come Dancing 2018, with Stacey Dooley remaining the 6/4 favourite with Ladbrokes and she’s clearly in good shape at this stage in proceedings.
She landed 36 points with her partner Kevin Clifton on Saturday and their street dance illustrated that Stacey is highly diverse on the dancefloor, although the odds can change a great deal between now and the final.
Joe Sugg has been firmly supported from the start and the YouTube sensation continues to score highly with his partner Dianne, with the pair impressing in the Paso Doble this week.
Sugg is now a best price 7/2 with Ladbrokes to win Strictly and might count on his millions of subscribers to help get him over the line, although it depends on whether the youngsters can bring themselves to vote in the final.
Faye Tozer is also priced at 7/2 and the Steps performer clearly looks like final material too, with Giovanni a popular professional dancer and the fourth final spot could be taken by Ashley Roberts.
The Pussycat Doll is clearly a star performer on the dancefloor although that doesn’t necessarily equate to winner material and the British public might not warm to Ashley in the same way that the judges do.
The next elimination market looks interesting this week, with Graeme Swann marginal favourite at 9/4 although Kate Silverton could also be vulnerable at odds of 5/2.
Charles Venn has now been in the bottom two for three occasions and he’s a 3/1 chance to finally exit the show, while Lauren Steadman is a 4/1 poke.
