West Bromwich Albion were relegated from the Premier League this season although the supporters won’t be feeling too downcast about returning to the Championship, especially after some late victories in the top flight.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur were among the scalps for the Baggies and the caretaker stint from Darren Moore was outstanding, with the former defender now 4/5 with BetVictor to take charge on a permanent basis.
Next WBA manager odds with BetVictor
Darren Moore 4/5
Dean Smith 5/4
Lee Johnson 16/1
Chris Wilder 16/1
Paul Cook 16/1
Moore has become favourite over the past 72 hours, with Dean Smith the only other manager trading at short odds. The Brentford boss can be backed at 5/4 with BetVictor odds, although he might remain at Griffin Park despite his obvious affinity to the west Midlands.
Smith has previously managed Walsall and is from West Bromwich, although Moore’s relationship with the playing squad is so strong that it might see the Albion board hire him.
Lee Johnson is a 16/1 chance and has done a fairly good job at Bristol City, while Chris Wilder is the same price although he’s currently enjoying his dream role at Sheffield United.
Paul Cook is another trading at 16/1 although having taken Wigan up into the Championship, it’s unlikely that the scouser will step down from that position.
