Manchester United and Jose Mourinho have finally parted company and the club will have Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in caretaker charge for the weekend clash at Cardiff, with the Norwegian looking to make a winning start with a club whom he holds dear in his heart.

The bookmakers certainly expect a response from the Red Devils after losing to Liverpool last Sunday, with BetVictor now going 3/5 about a win for Manchester United against a Cardiff City team who lost 3-2 at Watford last weekend.

Paul Pogba is expected to return to the team and the Frenchman is 8/1 with Paddy Power to score the opening goal of this game, with Romelu Lukaku available at 17/4 to break the deadlock and he’ll be another motivated by the change.

On Wednesday morning, Solskjaer was trading at 1/10 to become the next manager of United, with the Norwegian expected to fill the gap between now and the end of the season.

Further on from this, there has been talk of Mauricio Pochettino or Zinedine Zidane taking charge at the end of the season, with Spurs supporters hoping not to experience that sinking feeling of seeing their manager leave.
