Harry Kane has scored in his past three Premier League games and the Tottenham captain is now a 2/1 chance with William Hill to land the top scorer prize for the third time in the past four seasons.
Kane rarely gets dropped for Spurs and the bookmakers are wary of a forward who continues to be remarkably prolific, with the England skipper now on nine goals for the campaign which leaves him just one off the pace.
It appears that his main competitors are falling by the wayside and that includes Sergio Aguero who is currently sidelined during a busy festive schedule and the Argentine has now drifted to 4/1 with William Hill after previously going favourite.
Aguero is on eight for the season and perhaps there could be better value in backing Raheem Sterling who is trading at 20/1 with Ladbrokes and the former Liverpool forward is now on eight goals for the season himself.
Sterling looks to be someone who can score more than twenty goals this season, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is regarded as the main danger to Kane and he’s the only player who has hit double figures for the season.
Aubameyang’s brace in the north London derby means that the Gabon forward is on ten for the campaign and William Hill chalk up 4/1 that the striker ends up winning the top scorer prize.
